  1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on avionics components according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose avionics system malfunctions, utilizing technical manuals and diagnostic equipment.
  3. Repair or replace faulty components and perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality.
  4. Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  5. Conduct functional tests on avionics systems to ensure proper operation and make necessary adjustments as needed.
  6. Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and departments to troubleshoot complex avionics system issues.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in avionics technology to make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and management to report progress, issues, and concerns.
  10. Adhere to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company policies at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • A Degree In Avionics Or Electronics Technology: Delta Air Lines Requires Candidates To Have A Degree In Avionics Or Electronics Technology To Ensure They Have A Strong Foundation In The Principles Of Electronics And Aviation Systems.

  • Faa Certification: As An Avionics - Component Maintenance Technician, Candidates Must Have An Faa Airframe And Powerplant (A&P) Certification To Perform Work On Aircraft Components. This Certification Ensures That Candidates Have The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Safely Maintain And Repair Avionics Components.

  • Experience In Avionics Maintenance: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Avionics Maintenance, Preferably In Commercial Aviation. This Experience Should Include Troubleshooting, Repairing, And Maintaining A Variety Of Avionics Systems And Components.

  • Knowledge Of Avionics Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Avionics Systems, Including Communications, Navigation, And Flight Control Systems. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Latest Technologies And Advancements In Avionics Equipment.

  • Attention To Detail And Safety: Avionics - Component Maintenance Technicians Must Have A Meticulous Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Components Are Properly Maintained And Repaired. They Must Also Prioritize Safety And Follow All Established Protocols And Procedures To Ensure The Safety Of The Aircraft And Its Passengers.
