Deloitte is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hazard Mitigation Grant Specialist to join our dynamic team.   1. Develop and maintain relationships with clients in the public sector to understand their needs and effectively advise on hazard mitigation strategies.
  2. Collaborate with clients to identify potential hazards and assess the impact on their communities.
  3. Research and analyze grant opportunities and assist clients in securing funding for hazard mitigation projects.
  4. Review and evaluate hazard mitigation plans and proposals to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  5. Provide guidance and support to clients in the development, implementation, and monitoring of hazard mitigation projects.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert on hazard mitigation and grant management, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates and address any issues or concerns.
  8. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the progress and effectiveness of hazard mitigation projects.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations for clients and senior management on project status, outcomes, and recommendations.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Deloitte to leverage resources and expertise to support clients in their hazard mitigation efforts.
  11. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of hazard mitigation projects.
  13. Act as a mentor and coach to junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  14. Represent Deloitte at conferences, events, and other industry forums to promote our hazard mitigation services.
  15. Embrace and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and across the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or Urban Planning.

  • At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Hazard Mitigation Planning Or Implementation, Preferably In A Consulting Or Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Hazard Mitigation Funding Programs And Regulations, Including Fema's Hazard Mitigation Assistance (Hma) Programs.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Develop Effective Mitigation Strategies And Plans.

  • Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Work With Diverse Stakeholders And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
