  1. Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of materials and supplies in the warehouse.
  2. Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials according to established procedures.
  3. Ensure proper labeling and storage of all materials to maintain organization and accessibility.
  4. Collaborate with various departments to understand their material needs and distribute materials accordingly.
  5. Prepare and package materials for delivery to different departments within the hospital.
  6. Monitor and reorder inventory levels to ensure adequate supply at all times.
  7. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  9. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other hospital staff to ensure timely and accurate distribution of materials.
  11. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries in the warehouse.
  12. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall functioning of the warehouse and hospital.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in material handling techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Deaconess Health System in all interactions and duties.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and handle all materials with care and sensitivity.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Education Is Necessary For Understanding Warehouse Operations And Following Written Instructions For Material Handling.

  • Prior Warehouse Experience: Previous Experience Working In A Warehouse Environment, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry, Would Be Beneficial In Understanding The Specific Needs And Requirements Of A Healthcare Organization.

  • Forklift Certification: As A Warehouse Material Associate, The Ability To Operate A Forklift Safely And Efficiently Is Crucial For Moving And Storing Materials In The Warehouse.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For Maintaining Accurate Inventory Records, Coordinating With Other Departments, And Handling Customer Inquiries.
