As a Urologist at Deaconess Health System, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. We are looking for a highly qualified individual who is committed to delivering the highest level of care to our patients. If you possess strong clinical skills, an empathetic bedside manner, and a passion for helping others, we would love to have you join our team.

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat urological conditions and diseases, such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and prostate cancer
  • Perform surgical procedures, such as cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and lithotripsy
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending lifestyle changes
  • Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options, as well as provide post-treatment care instructions
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated and comprehensive care to patients
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
  • Stay current on advancements and developments in the field of urology through continuing education and professional development
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Urologist At Deaconess Health System Must Possess A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Residency And Fellowship Training: Candidates Should Have Completed A Residency Program In Urology And May Also Have Completed A Fellowship Program In A Sub-Specialty Such As Pediatric Urology Or Urologic Oncology.

  • Board Certification: Urologists Must Be Board-Certified By The American Board Of Urology Or Hold A Certificate Of Special Competence In Urology From The American Osteopathic Board Of Surgery.

  • State Medical License: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Medical License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing.

  • Experience: Deaconess Health System Prefers Candidates With At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Urology, Although New Graduates May Also Be Considered. Previous Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare System Is Also Preferred.
