We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Director of Laboratory to join our team and lead our laboratory operations. As the System Director of Laboratory, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our laboratory services across our multiple locations. We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual who is passionate about delivering quality patient care and has a strong background in laboratory operations.   1. Oversee and manage all laboratory operations for Deaconess Health System, ensuring that high-quality and efficient services are provided to patients.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the laboratory department, in alignment with the overall goals and mission of the organization.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of laboratory managers and staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to laboratory operations, and take necessary actions to address any deficiencies.
  5. Manage budget and resources for the laboratory department, making decisions that are financially responsible and in line with the organization's goals.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services into patient care.
  7. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in laboratory technology, and make recommendations for the adoption of new processes and equipment.
  8. Oversee quality control and assurance programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of laboratory supplies and equipment.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the laboratory department and other departments within the organization, as well as external stakeholders, to foster effective communication and collaboration.
  11. Participate in performance evaluations and make recommendations for staff training and development programs to ensure a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on laboratory operations, performance, and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Healthcare Laboratory Setting.

  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Current Laboratory Regulations, Accreditation Standards, And Industry Best Practices.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Other Departments And Lead A Diverse Team.

  • Experience In Budgeting, Strategic Planning, And Implementation Of New Technologies And Processes Within A Laboratory Setting.
