
Supplemental Clinic Patient Care Assistant

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the clinic with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist patients with checking in and verifying their personal and insurance information.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their appointments.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized exam room, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are stocked and readily available.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to ensure timely and accurate care.
- Document patient information accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during appointments.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient's condition to the healthcare provider.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in department and organizational meetings and training as required.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and assist in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare provider or supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Education Is Required To Be Considered For The Supplemental Clinic Patient Care Assistant Position.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Current Cna Certification In The State Of Indiana, Or Be Willing To Obtain It Within A Designated Time Frame.
Previous Healthcare Experience: Prior Experience In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting Is Highly Preferred For This Role. This Includes Experience As A Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Or Similar Position.
Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For Providing Quality Patient Care. Candidates Must Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Supplemental Clinic Patient Care Assistant Will Be Responsible For Assisting With A High Volume Of Patients In A Fast-Paced Clinic Setting. Candidates Must Be Able To Thrive In A Fast-Paced Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently.
