  1. Assist with preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment for use in medical procedures.
  2. Learn and follow proper procedures for handling and storing sterile supplies.
  3. Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure all necessary instruments are available and ready for use.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  5. Attend training sessions and educational programs to learn about new techniques and technologies in the field of sterile instrument technology.
  6. Assist in inventory management by restocking and ordering necessary supplies and equipment.
  7. Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease and ensure patient safety.
  8. Participate in quality control procedures to ensure all instruments are properly cleaned and sterilized.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues or concerns.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance skills and knowledge in the field of sterile instrument technology.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, maintaining a positive and compassionate attitude at all times.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety, always putting the patient's needs first.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Sterile Processing Technician Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Recognized Training Program In Sterile Instrument Processing And Have Received A Certificate Or Diploma.

  • Knowledge Of Sterile Instrument Processing Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Aseptic Techniques, Infection Control, And Sterilization Methods As It Relates To Surgical Instrument Processing.

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Surgical Instruments: Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Surgical Instruments, And Their Functions To Identify And Properly Process Them.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Sterile Instrument Processing Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy To Ensure Instruments Are Properly Cleaned, Sterilized, And Organized For Use In Surgical Procedures.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment: Candidates Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Effectively In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment, As Sterile Instrument Processing Is A Critical Part Of The Surgical Workflow And Requires Multitasking And Time Management Skills.
