- Accurately and efficiently process laboratory specimens according to established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the integrity and quality of specimens.
- Perform data entry and ensure all necessary information is accurately recorded.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare professionals, and patients to facilitate the timely and accurate processing of specimens.
- Prioritize and multitask effectively to meet daily workload demands and ensure timely delivery of test results.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with specimens, equipment, or procedures.
- Identify and report any quality control issues or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of specimens and their processing status.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on new procedures and techniques.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and provide support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting
Knowledge Of Laboratory Terminology And Specimen Handling Procedures
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Record And Enter Data
