Specimen Processor

1. Accurately and efficiently process laboratory specimens, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage.
2. Adhere to established protocols and procedures for specimen processing, maintaining the highest level of quality and accuracy.
3. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and efficient delivery of test results.
4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies and equipment.
5. Verify patient information and ensure proper documentation for each specimen.
6. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and biohazard waste according to established safety protocols.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
8. Communicate any issues or discrepancies with specimens to the appropriate personnel.
9. Keep up-to-date with new developments and techniques in specimen processing to continuously improve efficiency and accuracy.
10. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, answering any questions or concerns related to specimen processing.
11. Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
12. Assist in training and orienting new team members as needed.
13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
14. Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed.
15. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen processing.
