  1. Manage and maintain the scheduling system for all patient appointments, including new and follow-up appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Coordinate with healthcare providers to determine availability and schedule appointments accordingly.
  3. Communicate with patients to schedule appointments and provide necessary information, such as appointment details and preparation instructions.
  4. Monitor and adjust the schedule as needed to accommodate urgent or emergency appointments.
  5. Collaborate with other departments within the healthcare system to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  6. Maintain patient records and update information as needed.
  7. Follow all privacy and confidentiality policies to protect patient information.
  8. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for appointments.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  10. Stay updated on all healthcare provider schedules and changes, keeping the scheduling system current and accurate.
  11. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as answering phone calls and responding to emails.
  12. Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  13. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline the scheduling process.
  14. Attend meetings and trainings to stay updated on new policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Deaconess Health System.
