Respiratory Therapist

At Deaconess Health System, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide care for patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders, administer therapeutic treatments, and educate patients and their families in the prevention, management, and care of respiratory diseases.The ideal candidate for this position is an organized, customer service-oriented professional with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Provide quality care and services to patients with cardio-pulmonary and related disorders.
2. Administer therapeutic treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments and chest physiotherapy.
3. Educate patients and their families on the prevention, management and care of respiratory diseases.
4. Monitor patient progress and update medical records accordingly.
5. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols.
6. Troubleshoot and repair respiratory therapy equipment.
7. Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
9. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
