Registered Nurse - Vascular Access Team

1. Provide compassionate and skilled patient care through the placement and management of vascular access devices.
2. Work collaboratively with other members of the Vascular Access Team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
3. Utilize knowledge and expertise in vascular access to assess patient needs and determine appropriate treatment plans.
4. Monitor and maintain the function and integrity of vascular access devices, including but not limited to central lines, peripheral IVs, and arterial lines.
5. Educate patients and their families on the purpose, care, and potential complications of their vascular access devices.
6. Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols related to vascular access care.
7. Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in medical records.
8. Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care.
9. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills in vascular access care.
10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and adhere to infection control standards.
11. Demonstrate a commitment to patient satisfaction and quality improvement.
12. Serve as a role model for professionalism and excellence in patient care.
13. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
15. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Vascular Access Team leader or hospital administration.
