Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical Trauma ICU team at Deaconess Health System. At Deaconess, we take pride in providing the highest quality of patient care and recognize the importance of building strong relationships between medical staff, patients, and their families. We are looking for an individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our patients and their families.The successful candidate must possess a current, valid RN license and be eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana. A minimum of two years of experience in a critical care setting is preferred, and the candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should also have excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, be comfortable working autonomously, and have a commitment to providing the best possible care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high quality nursing care to patients in a surgical trauma ICU setting.
  2. Monitor and assess patient health and well-being.
  3. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicians' orders.
  4. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  5. Follow all appropriate safety protocols and procedures.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  7. Assist in the training and supervision of other nursing staff.
  8. Manage patient care plans and coordinate with other healthcare professionals.
  9. Respond promptly to patient needs and requests.
  10. Utilize excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  11. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In Indiana

  • Bsn Or Higher From An Accredited College Or University

  • At Least Years Of Experience As A Registered Nurse In A Surgical/Trauma Icu
