
Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma ICU

- Provide compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Trauma ICU.
- Utilize strong clinical skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress and respond to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and post-hospital care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices and new developments in healthcare.
- Serve as a patient advocate and communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is The Minimum Education Requirement For A Registered Nurse Position At Deaconess Health System. This Degree Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory And Clinical Skills.
Active Rn License In The State Of Indiana: All Candidates For The Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma Icu Job Must Hold An Active Rn License In The State Of Indiana. This License Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Education And Competency In Nursing.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Icu Setting: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Intensive Care Unit (Icu). This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle The High-Stress And Critical Nature Of The Surgical Trauma Icu.
Certification In Critical Care Nursing (Ccrn): Having A Ccrn Certification Is Highly Preferred For This Position. It Shows That The Candidate Has Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Caring For Critically Ill Patients, Which Is Crucial In The Surgical Trauma Icu.
