1. Provide high-quality and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and oncology treatments.
2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
3. Monitor and assess patient's condition before, during, and after surgery and chemotherapy.
4. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians.
5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and post-operative care.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
7. Ensure proper functioning of medical equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care plans.
10. Continuously improve clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training opportunities.
11. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote a positive patient experience.
