Job Description

  1. Administer pain management treatments and medications to patients during medical procedures.
  2. Monitor patients' pain levels and provide appropriate interventions to ensure their comfort.
  3. Assess patients' medical history and current condition to determine the most effective pain management plan.
  4. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate and implement pain management strategies.
  5. Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques and medications.
  6. Advocate for patients' needs and provide emotional support during medical procedures.
  7. Document all patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest pain management techniques and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive pain management plans.
  11. Use critical thinking skills to assess and address any potential complications related to pain management during procedures.
  12. Adhere to all hospital and regulatory standards related to pain management and patient care.
  13. Act as a resource and provide guidance to other healthcare team members on pain management strategies.
  14. Continuously evaluate and improve pain management protocols to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  15. Demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients and their families and provide a supportive and caring environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Employment.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pain Management Or Related Field.

  • Certification In Pain Management Nursing (Cpn) Or Similar Credential.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
