Public Relations and Community Outreach Specialist

At Deaconess Health System, we are looking for a talented Public Relations and Community Outreach Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build relationships with the media, customers, and the public to ensure the successful promotion of our organization and its services. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, creative thinker, and problem solver with a knack for developing relationships.The successful candidate must possess an undergraduate degree in marketing, communication, public relations, or a related field, as well as three to five years of prior experience in public relations, community outreach, and/or marketing. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement public relations and community outreach strategies to promote Deaconess Health System and its services.
2. Build relationships with the media, customers, and the public to ensure positive representation of the organization.
3. Create and execute campaigns and events to increase awareness of Deaconess Health System.
4. Establish relationships with community organizations to facilitate partnerships that benefit the organization.
5. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
6. Monitor and analyze media coverage of the organization.
7. Respond to inquiries from the media and public in a timely and professional manner.
8. Prepare press releases, media advisories, and other promotional materials.
9. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
