1. Collect and process blood samples from patients, following all safety and infection control protocols.
2. Ensure accurate and timely labeling and handling of all samples to maintain sample integrity.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
4. Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, putting their comfort and well-being as a top priority.
5. Utilize proper documentation techniques to accurately record patient information and test results.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of test results.
7. Stay up-to-date with current phlebotomy techniques, safety protocols, and equipment.
8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and questions with empathy and professionalism.
9. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
10. Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies for the phlebotomy department.
11. Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or samples, and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
12. Participate in quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
13. Attend continuing education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
14. Meet productivity goals and work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental objectives.
