Job Description

At Deaconess Health System, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Phlebotomist to join our team. We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing the highest quality of patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, an attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting patient specimens for laboratory testing in a safe and timely manner. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. It is a highly visible role that requires a strong commitment to patient satisfaction.The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a Phlebotomy setting. Certification as a Phlebotomist is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required. Responsibilities:

  1. Collect patient specimens in a safe and timely manner for laboratory testing.
  2. Maintain a high degree of accuracy and professionalism when dealing with patients.
  3. Provide a high level of patient satisfaction.
  4. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
  6. Maintain valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  7. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  8. Maintain up to date knowledge of phlebotomy procedures and techniques.
  9. Maintain all necessary documentation related to patient collections.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training as needed.
