Pediatric RN

The Deaconess Health System is looking for an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team. We are a leading health system providing a wide range of pediatric care services to patients and families in the tri-state area. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who has a passion for providing quality care to children, and is committed to helping our patients and families reach their health goals. The Pediatric Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for pediatric patients. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess a current Registered Nurse license, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Additionally, the candidate must have at least two years of experience in a pediatric setting, and must be knowledgeable in pediatric medical conditions and treatments. A strong ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, and excellent communication skills are also essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients.
2. Utilize clinical skills to diagnose and treat pediatric medical conditions.
3. Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
4. Monitor patient vital signs, and document care in medical records.
5. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
6. Educate patients and families on medical conditions and treatments.
7. Maintain clinical competency in pediatric nursing.
8. Comply with hospital policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
9. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.
10. Respond to patient emergency situations in a timely manner.
