- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Deaconess Health System with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and any necessary paperwork.
- Communicate with patients in a clear and compassionate manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate care for patients.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Deaconess Health System's mission and values and incorporate them into daily interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and experience by providing exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality guidelines to protect patient information.
- Stay current on all policies and procedures related to patient scheduling and access to care.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to stay updated on any changes and developments within the Access Center.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, appointments, and any relevant information.
- Assist in resolving any patient complaints or concerns, escalating to higher management when necessary.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
- Support and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the workplace.
Strong Communication Skills: A Patient Connect Rep Must Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Members Of The Deaconess Health System Team.
Customer Service Experience: This Role Requires A High Level Of Customer Service Experience And The Ability To Handle Difficult Or Sensitive Situations With Empathy And Professionalism.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Patient Connect Rep Must Have A Good Understanding Of Medical Terminology To Accurately Assist Patients With Scheduling Appointments, Obtaining Medical Records, And Answering Questions About Their Healthcare.
Multitasking Abilities: The Access Center Is A Fast-Paced Environment, So A Patient Connect Rep Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail.
Experience With Electronic Health Records: Proficiency In Navigating And Using Electronic Health Record Systems Is Essential For This Role, As The Patient Connect Rep Will Be Responsible For Updating Patient Information And Scheduling Appointments Using These Systems.
