- Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients on the Med/Surg unit.
- Assist with basic nursing tasks such as taking vital signs, monitoring patient's condition, and assisting with activities of daily living.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare team.
- Monitor and document patient's progress and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Respond to patient's needs and requests in a timely and respectful manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Pct Job At Deaconess Health System Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Academic Subjects, Which Is Necessary For Performing Job Duties Effectively.
Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Or Equivalent Certification: A Pct At Deaconess Health System Is Expected To Have A Current Cna Certification Or Equivalent Certification. This Ensures That The Individual Has Completed A Recognized Training Program And Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Provide Patient Care.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Deaconess Health System Prefers Candidates With Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In A Medical/Surgical Unit. This Experience Provides A Foundation Of Knowledge And Skills That Will Be Beneficial In Performing Pct Duties.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Pcts At Deaconess Health System Are Required To Have A Current Bls Certification. This Certification Ensures That The Individual Is Trained In Cpr And First Aid, Which Are Essential Skills For Responding To Emergency Situations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Pct At Deaconess Health System. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively As Part Of A Team.
