Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Technician for our Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU). This unit is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients who require specialized care for cardiac and renal conditions. We are looking for a PCT who is committed to providing the highest quality of care and making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.   1. Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in accordance with our mission and values.
  2. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients on the Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU).
  3. Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  4. Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other medical indicators to assess patient health.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing team.
  6. Record and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
  7. Ensure patient safety by following infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and organized patient environment.
  8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay at the hospital.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  10. Attend training and educational sessions to continuously improve knowledge and skills in cardiac and renal care.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
  12. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  13. Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients, families, and visitors.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  15. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of A Certified Patient Care Technician Program Or Equivalent Education In A Related Field.

  • Current Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) For Healthcare Providers.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Patient Care Technician In A Cardiac Or Renal Unit.

  • Knowledge Of And Experience With Cardiac And Renal Patient Care, Including Monitoring Vital Signs, Administering Medications, And Performing Basic Procedures.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
