Patient Account Representative I

1. Manage patient accounts by accurately updating and maintaining all financial and demographic information.
2. Review and analyze patient bills to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
4. Process payments and refunds, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
5. Work closely with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure timely and accurate billing.
6. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families by addressing any questions or concerns regarding their accounts.
7. Stay up-to-date on insurance policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize reimbursement.
8. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of billing and collections.
9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
10. Participate in training and development programs to continually improve skills and knowledge related to patient accounts and billing processes.
11. Act as a liaison between patients and insurance companies to resolve issues and expedite claims.
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
