
Patient Access Supervisor

- Oversee the patient registration process and ensure accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of patient access.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any concerns or issues that may arise during the registration process.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate a team of patient access representatives to ensure they are providing the highest level of service to patients.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement best practices for patient registration and customer service.
- Monitor and analyze registration data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to patient registration and confidentiality of patient information.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations to promote the services of Deaconess Health System.
- Handle difficult or complex patient situations with empathy and professionalism, while maintaining a calm and organized demeanor.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and development of new patient access representatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience and streamline operations.
- Serve as a role model for the team and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to patient access and customer service.
- Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management on departmental performance and areas for improvement.
- Handle any other duties or special projects as assigned by the management team.
A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Access Or Registration.
Strong Knowledge Of Healthcare Insurance And Billing Processes, Including Medicare, Medicaid, And Private Insurance.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information To Patients, Staff, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Proven Leadership Abilities, Including The Ability To Train And Mentor Staff, Manage Schedules, And Implement Process Improvements.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Healthcare Administration, Business, Or Finance. Relevant Certifications, Such As Certified Healthcare Access Manager (Cham) Or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (Crcr), Are A Plus.
