- Oversee the front-end operations of the healthcare facility, including patient registration and scheduling.
- Ensure a seamless and positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Lead and mentor a team of patient access representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in their roles.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency of patient access operations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to patient access, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Monitor and analyze data related to patient access operations, and identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to promote a patient-centered approach to care.
- Train new employees on patient access procedures and ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Act as a liaison between patients and insurance companies to facilitate insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote continuous growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with other leaders in the organization to develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and overall quality of care.
- Participate in meetings and committees to provide input and make recommendations for improving patient access processes.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Deaconess Health System in all interactions with patients, team members, and other stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Healthcare Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Patient Access Processes And Procedures, Including Insurance Verification, Registration, And Scheduling.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Lead A Team And Interact With Patients, Providers, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Proficiency In Electronic Health Record Systems And Other Relevant Technology Used In Patient Access Operations.
