Patient Access Intake Specialist

Responsibilities of the Patient Access Intake Specialist:

1. Greet and register patients in a professional and friendly manner.
2. Verify patient information and enter data into electronic health record (EHR) system.
3. Collect and process patient payments and verify insurance coverage.
4. Provide assistance with scheduling appointments and referrals.
5. Ensure patient satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to patient inquiries.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, staff, and other healthcare providers.
7. Follow established standards and procedures in order to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Monitor patient flow and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient processing of patients.
9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information.
10. Provide support with special projects and other duties as needed.
