Operating Room Technician

At Deaconess Health System, we are looking for an Operating Room Technician to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for an individual who is experienced, passionate, and eager to learn. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and assisting the surgical team. The successful candidate will need to possess an Associate degree in Surgical Technology or a related field, have current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), and have at least 1 year of experience in the operating room. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare the operating room for procedures.
2. Sterilize instruments and equipment for surgical procedures.
3. Assist the surgical team during procedures.
4. Ensure that operating room and equipment are in good working order.
5. Maintain accurate records of all equipment and supplies used in the operating room.
6. Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
7. Remain up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of surgical technology.
8. Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current in the field.
9. Adhere to hospital policies and regulations.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
