- Oversee and lead the day-to-day operations of the radiology department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the overall performance and productivity of the radiology department.
- Manage and mentor a team of radiology staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of job performance and job satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance departmental performance.
- Collaborate with other department managers and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of radiology services with other departments.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and implement new technologies and practices to enhance the quality of radiology services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Create and maintain departmental policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff.
- Manage departmental budget and resources effectively to ensure cost-efficient operations.
- Promote a culture of patient-centered care and ensure patient satisfaction through timely and accurate delivery of radiology services.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Represent the radiology department in meetings and committees to provide updates, share insights, and seek input from other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within the department or with other departments.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to the department's operations, including financial data, staff schedules, and patient information.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Radiology Operations, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Or Management Role.
Knowledge Of Current Trends And Developments In Radiology Technology And Operations.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.
Experience With Budgeting, Scheduling, And Resource Management In A Healthcare Setting.
