Instrument Technician

1. Sterilizing surgical instruments using appropriate techniques and equipment.
2. Maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure the safety and efficiency of procedures.
3. Assisting with various surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and equipment.
4. Conducting inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed to ensure an adequate stock of instruments.
5. Collaborating with surgical team members to ensure all instruments are properly prepared and available for procedures.
6. Maintaining knowledge of medical terminology and equipment to accurately identify and handle instruments.
7. Following infection control and safety protocols to prevent any potential risks.
8. Troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
9. Being available for on-call duties and assisting with emergency procedures when necessary.
