1. Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations on patients to assess heart function and diagnose potential heart conditions.
2. Ensure proper positioning of patients and accurate placement of ultrasound equipment to obtain quality images.
3. Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and department protocols.
4. Review patient medical history and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate scan parameters.
5. Accurately document and record ultrasound findings, maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
6. Communicate with patients to provide information about the procedure and address any concerns they may have.
