  1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients in an outpatient setting, following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed, including patient medical history and any pertinent findings.
  3. Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to obtain high-quality images of the heart and surrounding structures.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze test results, and communicate any abnormal findings to the appropriate parties.
  5. Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring patient comfort, answering any questions, and addressing any concerns throughout the exam process.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  7. Stay current with industry advancements and participate in training and continuing education opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  8. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  9. Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.
  11. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate parties.
  12. Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as any regulatory and accreditation standards.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the department.
  14. Serve as a positive representative of Deaconess Health System and promote the organization's mission and values in all interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or Related Field

  • Certification By The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In Both Abdominal And Ob/Gyn Specialties

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As An Echo Sonographer, Preferably In An Outpatient Setting

  • Strong Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, And Pathology

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Patients And Healthcare Team Members
