  1. Greet and welcome patients and their families to Deaconess Health System in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns that patients may have regarding home medical equipment and supplies.
  3. Assist patients in selecting the appropriate home medical equipment and supplies based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
  4. Accurately process orders for home medical equipment and supplies, ensuring that all necessary documentation and insurance information is obtained.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary prescriptions and authorizations for home medical equipment and supplies.
  6. Maintain accurate and organized records of patient information, orders, and inventory.
  7. Educate patients on proper use and maintenance of home medical equipment and supplies.
  8. Coordinate with other departments and outside vendors to ensure timely delivery of home medical equipment and supplies.
  9. Handle and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills related to home medical equipment and supplies to provide the best possible care to patients.
  11. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  12. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations of the HME department.
  13. Participate in meetings and trainings as required.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
