
Credentialing Specialist
Deaconess Health System is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have a strong attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills. The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for proactively managing the credentialing process for all providers, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.The successful candidate must have at least two years of experience in a healthcare credentialing role, including experience with the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) and other related healthcare databases. Additionally, experience with credentialing software is preferred. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work they do and is able to work collaboratively with other departments within the organization. Responsibilities:
- Verify provider credentials with applicable regulatory agencies, including the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all provider credentialing activities.
- Manage and maintain provider files in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor and update provider license and credential information as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to healthcare credentialing.
- Ensure timely submission of all required credentialing documents.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding the credentialing process.
- Monitor and review provider enrollment activities.
- Generate reports related to credentialing activities.
- Maintain positive relationships with providers and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Follow up with providers and other stakeholders to ensure all credentialing requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Utilize credentialing software to manage and track all credentialing activities.
- Assist with other related tasks and projects as needed.
