- Analyze clinical denials and determine root causes.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Identify trends in denials and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Utilize clinical knowledge to review and appeal denied claims.
- Communicate with insurance companies and other third party payers to resolve denials.
- Maintain accurate records of all denials, appeals, and resolutions.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Provide education and training to staff regarding denial prevention and resolution.
- Participate in meetings and discussions regarding denial management strategies.
- Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to clinical denials.
- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to ensure accurate coding and billing practices.
- Monitor and track denials to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on denial trends and outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Uphold the mission and values of Deaconess Health System in all job responsibilities.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, Specifically In Claims Denial And Appeals Management.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Coding And Billing Regulations, Including Icd-10 And Cpt Codes.
Excellent Analytical Skills And Ability To Review Complex Medical Records And Insurance Claims To Identify And Resolve Denials.
Proficiency In Computer Systems And Software, Particularly In Electronic Health Record Systems And Claims Management Software.
