- Conduct thorough reviews of denied claims and identify the root cause of the denial.
- Utilize strong clinical knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations to appeal denied claims.
- Collaborate with multiple departments, including providers, billing, and insurance companies, to gather necessary information for appeals.
- Analyze data and trends to identify patterns in denials and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Communicate with patients and their families to explain the denial and assist with any questions or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of denials, appeals, and outcomes.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement processes to ensure accuracy in appeals.
- Advocate for patients and their rights to receive proper care and reimbursement.
- Work closely with the revenue cycle team to ensure timely and accurate submission of appeals.
- Participate in meetings and trainings to share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Bachelor's Degree In A Healthcare-Related Field, Such As Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Or Health Information Management.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Claims Processing, Medical Coding, Or Clinical Denial Management.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Healthcare Regulations, And Reimbursement Systems.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Clinical Denials.
Proficiency In Using Electronic Health Record Systems, Claims Management Software, And Microsoft Office.
