Job Description

Welcome to Deaconess Health System! We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinic Medical Assistant to join our team at the Huntingburg Clinic and also provide float coverage to other clinics, as needed. As a Clinic Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physicians and providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for individuals who possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.   1. Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
  3. Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs.
  4. Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization.
  5. Administer medications and perform basic lab tests as directed by physicians.
  6. Educate patients on medical procedures, treatments, and medications.
  7. Assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up care for patients.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  9. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff.
  10. Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
  11. Provide float coverage to other clinics as needed.
  12. Adhere to medical protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety.
  13. Keep inventory of medical supplies and ensure they are well-stocked.
  14. Collaborate with the front desk staff to ensure a smooth patient flow.
  15. Display a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  16. Attend training and educational sessions to stay updated on medical procedures and protocols.
  17. Uphold the mission and values of Deaconess Health System.
  18. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  19. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies.
  20. Perform any other duties as assigned by the clinic manager or physician.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Equivalent Certification From An Accredited Program.

  • Prior Experience Working In A Clinic Setting, Preferably In A Multi-Specialty Clinic.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures, Including Proficiency In Taking Vital Signs And Administering Medications.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Healthcare Providers In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Multitask In A Fast-Paced Environment, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Patient Records And Documentation.
