Job Description

Deaconess Health System is looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Clinic Medical Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient service and support while assisting with the day-to-day operations of our clinic. We are looking for an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and has experience in a healthcare setting. If you are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and are driven to make a positive impact in our community, we encourage you to apply.The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, a current Medical Assistant Certification, and at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures are a must. Additionally, exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential to successfully fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  2. Assist with patient intake and registration processes.
  3. Take patient vital signs, perform basic lab tests, and maintain medical records.
  4. Prepare and administer injections and medications as directed by the physician.
  5. Assist with scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, and other administrative tasks.
  6. Perform charting and documentation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls as necessary.
  9. Participate in continuing education programs and attend staff meetings.
  10. Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures.
