Job Description

Welcome to Deaconess Health System! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Clinic LPN, CMA or RMA - Office Surgery Scheduler. This role is integral to our clinic's success and will provide support to our physicians and patients by coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about providing quality patient care, has excellent communication skills, and is detail-oriented.   1. Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for our clinic's patients, ensuring that all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  2. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient scheduling process.
  3. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when scheduling surgeries to ensure that all necessary information and resources are in place.
  4. Serve as a liaison between patients and physicians, answering any questions or concerns and providing support throughout the scheduling process.
  5. Utilize electronic health records and other scheduling systems to input and track surgical appointments and ensure proper documentation.
  6. Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations and verify coverage for scheduled procedures.
  7. Monitor and manage the surgical schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal conflicts.
  8. Keep abreast of changes in scheduling policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information.
  10. Continuously strive to improve the scheduling process and provide feedback to management on ways to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Lpn, Cma, Or Rma Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current License As A Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant, Or Registered Medical Assistant In The State Of Indiana.

  • Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As An Lpn, Cma, Or Rma In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Surgical Or Primary Care Office.

  • Knowledge Of Office Scheduling Procedures: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Scheduling Appointments, Managing Patient Flow, And Coordinating Procedures In A Medical Office Setting.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Clear And Professional Manner.

  • Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have Strong Organizational Skills And Be Able To Pay Close Attention To Details, As Accuracy Is Crucial In Scheduling Appointments And Procedures For Patients.
