- Oversee and manage all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, to ensure high-quality and consistent menu items are delivered to guests.
- Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment by adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, as well as following company policies and procedures.
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, portion control, and recipe adherence to maintain consistency and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary food and supplies to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient communication and a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Create and update menu items, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients, to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
- Lead by example and maintain a positive and professional attitude, fostering teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and maintain relationships to ensure the best quality products for the restaurant.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to continually improve and innovate the menu and kitchen operations.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In A High-Volume Kitchen Management Role.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate Kitchen Staff.
Extensive Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations.
Ability To Create And Manage Budgets, Control Food Costs, And Ensure Profitability.
