VOIP Engineer

Designs, develops and analyzes Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network, including planning of installations and maintenance of the VoIP system. Provides VoIP solutions and interfaces with Network Architecture/Engineering to provide requirements for network engineering, implementation, and operations. Configures dial plan schematics and UCCX; monitors transmission alerts, reporting of trunking and capacity metrics to adapt various systems and customer environments on a converged technology environment. Participates in high-level design of infrastructure with experts from other groups. Act as primary or escalation contact as appropriate. Coordinates and performs installation of new VoIP networks, hardware and software. . Supports general network and build-outs including security, routing, switching, wireless, virtualization and other server and network related duties.
