Job Description

  1. Dispensing Medications: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients in accordance with state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies.
  2. Patient Counseling: Provide thorough patient counseling on medication dosage, administration, and potential side effects to ensure safe and effective use.
  3. Medication Management: Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure proper medication management and adherence for patients.
  4. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and organized inventory of medications, including ordering, receiving, and returning medications as needed.
  5. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
  7. Clinical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on current pharmacy practices, medications, and healthcare trends to provide the best possible care for patients.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals and team members to coordinate patient care and ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
  9. Problem Solving: Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve any issues related to medication dispensing, patient concerns, or pharmacy operations.
  10. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients by addressing medication access and affordability issues and providing resources for medication assistance programs.
  11. Training and Education: Stay informed on new medications, treatment protocols, and technologies in the field of pharmacy and share knowledge with colleagues and patients.
  12. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  13. Continual Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in pharmacy operations and patient care and suggest solutions to enhance overall efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  14. Professional Development: Participate in continuing education opportunities and maintain active pharmacist licensure to further develop skills and knowledge in the field of pharmacy.
