- Dispensing Medications: Dispense medications to customers in a safe and accurate manner, following all state and federal laws and regulations.
- Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care by counseling and educating customers on their medications, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Medication Management: Monitor and manage medication therapy for customers, including drug interactions and potential adverse effects.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and organized inventory of medications, ensuring proper storage and disposal of expired or recalled products.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and pharmacy technicians, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and safety in all pharmacy operations.
- Staff Training: Train and mentor pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry developments, new medications, and changes in laws and regulations through continuing education and training.
- Adherence Programs: Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement medication adherence programs for patients with chronic conditions.
- Data Analysis: Utilize pharmacy data to identify opportunities for improvement in patient outcomes and develop strategies to address them.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy team members to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct routine compliance audits to ensure adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Safety Protocols: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and customers.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Institution.
Current And Active Pharmacist License In The State Of Employment.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working As A Pharmacist In A Retail Pharmacy Setting.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team In A Fast-Paced Environment.
