Staff Pharmacist

1. Dispense medications accurately and safely to patients in accordance with state and federal laws, CVS Health policies and procedures, and professional standards of practice.
2. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting patients with their medication needs.
3. Answer any questions or concerns from patients regarding their medications, side effects, drug interactions, and other related inquiries.
4. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure proper medication therapy management and continuity of care.
5. Utilize pharmacy software systems to accurately enter and process prescriptions, perform drug utilization review, and maintain patient profiles.
6. Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper storage and handling of medications in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
7. Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and adherence to medication therapy.
8. Stay updated on new and emerging pharmaceutical products, therapies, and regulations through continuing education and training.
9. Participate in pharmacy quality assurance and improvement programs to ensure the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and security of information.
11. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members through verbal and written communication.
12. Handle and resolve any customer service issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
13. Assist in training and mentoring pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
14. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficiency and safety.
