- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Handle cash and credit transactions, including processing insurance claims.
- Retrieve and file patient information and prescription records.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications according to safety protocols.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any issues.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and proper storage.
- Work collaboratively with other pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Continuously expand knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician At Cvs Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Certification: Cvs Health Requires All Pharmacy Technicians To Be Certified By The Ptcb Or Obtain Certification Within The First Year Of Employment.
Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Terminology: Pharmacy Technicians At Cvs Health Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceutical Terminology To Accurately Communicate With Customers And Healthcare Professionals.
