Manager, Application Development

Are you an experienced Application Development Manager looking to join an innovative and dynamic team at CVS Health? This position will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the application development life cycle. The ideal candidate must have a passion for problem solving and a deep understanding of software development principles.The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in application development, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. In addition, the successful candidate must have a proven track record of successful project delivery and excellent communication skills. Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall development methodology is a plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, lead, and manage application development and maintenance projects and initiatives.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, ensure requirements are met and develop solutions.
3. Manage the application development life cycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
4. Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and timelines.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to team members and provide training as needed.
6. Work with other departments to ensure that the application development process is efficient, cost-effective, and meets business needs.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and software developers.
8. Analyze and troubleshoot application issues, and develop solutions.
9. Foster a motivated team environment and ensure team members adhere to industry best practices.
10. Stay up-to-date on new technologies and trends in application development.
