  1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  2. Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
  3. Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  4. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  5. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to analyze and interpret financial data for decision-making purposes.
  7. Identify areas for potential cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  8. Monitor and analyze financial performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Communicate financial results and analysis to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
  10. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure the company remains compliant.
  11. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  12. Provide support and guidance in the annual budgeting process.
  13. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  14. Handle any escalated accounting issues and provide solutions.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the accounting team.
  16. Act as a liaison between the accounting department and other departments within the company.
  17. Work closely with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
  18. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  19. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Lead Director, Accounting At Cvs Health Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance To Ensure A Thorough Understanding Of Financial Reporting And Analysis.

  • Cpa Designation: Having A Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Designation Is Highly Preferred For This Role, As It Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Expertise In Accounting Principles And Practices.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Finance: Cvs Health Requires A Lead Director, Accounting To Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Senior-Level Accounting Or Finance Role, Preferably In A Publicly Traded Company Or In The Healthcare Industry.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Lead Director, Accounting, One Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Provide Guidance And Direction To Ensure Accurate And Timely Financial Reporting.

  • Knowledge Of Gaap And Sox Compliance: Cvs Health Expects A Lead Director, Accounting To Have A Deep Understanding Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And Sarbanes-Oxley Act (Sox) Compliance To Ensure The Company's Financial Statements Are In Accordance With Regulatory Requirements.
