Job Description

  1. Dispensing Medications: As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for accurately and safely dispensing medications to our patients. This includes verifying prescriptions, checking for potential drug interactions, and providing proper dosage instructions.
  2. Providing Patient Care: Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. This includes counseling patients on their medications, answering any questions they may have, and addressing any concerns or issues they may have with their medications.
  3. Building Strong Customer Relationships: You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. This involves actively listening to their needs, providing excellent customer service, and addressing any concerns or complaints they may have in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Maintaining Accurate Records: It is important that you maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed and patient interactions. This includes documenting any counseling sessions, medication changes, and other pertinent information.
  5. Collaborating with Healthcare Team: In order to provide the best possible care, you will need to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team including doctors, nurses, and other pharmacists. This may involve discussing potential drug interactions, recommending alternative medications, and providing updates on patient progress.
  6. Staying Up-to-Date on Industry Changes: It is essential that you stay current with industry changes, new medications, and updates in pharmacy laws and regulations. This will ensure that you are providing the most accurate and up-to-date care to our patients.
  7. Ensuring Compliance: As a Staff Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all pharmacy operations comply with state and federal regulations. This includes maintaining proper inventory control, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and following all safety protocols.
  8. Training and Supervising Pharmacy Technicians: You will be responsible for training and supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure that they are following proper procedures and providing quality patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid State Pharmacist License: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Active Pharmacist License In The State Where The Job Is Located.

  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree: A Pharmd Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy School Is Required For This Position.

  • Previous Pharmacy Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacist In A Retail Or Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Pharmacists Must Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Providers.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Governing The Practice Of Pharmacy, Including Controlled Substance Regulations, Hipaa, And Medicare Part D.
