If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Cox Business is currently seeking a Senior Auto Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for our business operations.   1. Perform regular maintenance and diagnostic checks on company vehicles to ensure they are in top working condition.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical, electrical or technical issues with company vehicles.
  3. Create and maintain a schedule for routine maintenance and inspections of all company vehicles.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on company vehicles.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest automotive technology, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness in work.
  6. Identify potential issues and recommend solutions to improve vehicle performance and longevity.
  7. Work closely with the fleet manager to ensure vehicles are meeting business needs and budget requirements.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles.
  9. Train and mentor junior technicians in proper maintenance and repair procedures.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding vehicle status, repairs, and any other relevant information.
  12. Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with clients or vendors.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Automotive Repair Experience: The Ideal Candidate For The Senior Auto Maintenance Technician Role At Cox Business Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Automotive Repair And Maintenance. This Experience Should Include A Variety Of Vehicle Makes And Models.

  • Strong Diagnostic Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Diagnostic Skills To Troubleshoot And Identify Complex Issues With Vehicles. This Includes A Thorough Understanding Of Computerized Diagnostic Equipment And Systems.

  • Ase Certification: The Candidate Should Hold An Ase (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification In At Least One Specialty Area, Such As Engine Repair, Brakes, Or Electrical Systems. Additional Certifications In Multiple Areas Will Be Considered A Plus.

  • Team Leadership Abilities: As A Senior Auto Maintenance Technician, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Technicians And Ensuring Their Work Is Completed Efficiently And Accurately. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential.

  • Attention To Detail: Cox Business Places A High Priority On Delivering Exceptional Service To Its Customers. The Senior Auto Maintenance Technician Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail To Ensure That All Repairs And Maintenance Are Completed To The Highest Standard.
