Job Description

Are you a numbers wizard with a passion for precision and accuracy? Cox Business is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Consolidations team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation and reporting of our financial statements across multiple entities. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills, a keen attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting, we want to hear from you.

  1. Oversee the consolidation and reporting process for multiple entities within Cox Business.
  2. Ensure accuracy and precision in all financial statements and reports.
  3. Utilize strong technical skills to effectively manage complex financial data.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  5. Continuously strive for process improvement and efficiency within the consolidation and reporting process.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the finance department to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  7. Regularly review and analyze financial data to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  8. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in accounting standards.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members as needed.
  12. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address any issues or concerns.
  13. Assist with audits and other financial projects as needed.
  14. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  15. Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and data.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Senior Accountant In Consolidations At Cox Business Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance, With A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree. This Will Ensure A Thorough Understanding Of Accounting Principles And Financial Reporting Standards.

  • Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Designation: A Cpa Designation Is Highly Preferred For A Senior Accountant In Consolidations At Cox Business. This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Technical Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Accounting.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Accounting: To Be Considered For A Senior Accountant In Consolidations Position At Cox Business, Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In An Accounting Role. This Experience Should Include Exposure To Consolidation Processes, Financial Reporting, And Financial Analysis.

  • Strong Understanding Of Us Gaap And Ifrs: A Senior Accountant In Consolidations At Cox Business Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Both Us Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs). This Knowledge Is Essential For Accurately Consolidating Financial Statements For The Company.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Cox Business Is Seeking A Senior Accountant In Consolidations Who Has Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities. This Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Financial Data And Identify Trends Or Issues, And Then Propose Effective Solutions To Improve Financial Performance.
